Arabic typing test and Arabic keyboard practice

Taqtaqa is a free typing trainer for Arabic. Instead of random words, you type real Egyptian and Saudi proverbs, famous lines from Egyptian films, Juha folk tales and classical Arabic poetry, and see your speed and accuracy as you go.

What you can practice

• Timed tests of 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds, with words per minute and accuracy.
• Word count and full quote modes to finish a text from start to end.
• Arabic diacritics (tashkeel): turn on diacritics in the settings and every text shows simple marks (shadda, fatha, kasra, damma and tanween) that you type along with the letters, such as اللّي and بُكرة.
• On-screen Arabic keyboard for the Windows (Arabic 101) and Mac layouts that lights up the next key, including when you need Shift.

Native speakers who want to type Arabic faster and more accurately, learners getting used to the Arabic keyboard, and anyone who types Arabic at work. The interface is in Arabic (Egyptian dialect).

Taqtaqa has no ads and no paywall. Your history is saved in your browser, or in your account if you sign in with Google or email so it follows you across devices. You can install it as an app on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, and it keeps working without an internet connection.
